I graduated in 2017 at Newcastle University with a BSc in Computer Science. During my time in 3rd year I focused my undergraduate project in creating positive experiences using Virtual Reality for people living with dementia that resulted in prototypes that explored the importance of using personal and non-personal designed VR environments which resulted in participants to feel relaxed and experienced a form of reminiscence therapy. My close work with the open lab and work with public health ended up inspiring me to continue my work which led me to Digital Civics.
I am interested in continuing research in HCI and public health with hopes to add to what I’ve already done over the past year as I have passion in using participatory design in my work as I believe it’s important to actively involve participants in design as they’ll be the users who your results will impact the most.
When I’m not working, I like to do photography and have a keen passion for film.
