Irina Pavlovskaya

I have a multidisciplinary background. I studied Economics at the Siberian Federal University before completing an MSc in International Marketing at Newcastle University. During my MSc I focused on researching the decision-making process of potential Further Education students in order to help them make an informed choice of study programme and institution. I was and am interested in the design and application of digital technologies to help this process to become more participatory.

Through my work experience in an educational institution and work as a private tutor to children, my interest has broadened to encompass how technologies can facilitate learning. My main interest here centres on Primary level. I want to direct my focus onto the development of digital tools that will strengthen the argument for the application of technologies in pre and early school years. I am particularly interested in how they can be incorporated to fuel face to face interaction and to explore nature as part of a holistic pedagogical approach.
